Study Tips for CBSE Students

Below are useful study tips for students. Students who aim to score high marks in the exam are advised to follow these tips right from the beginning of the academic year to reap the maximum benefit from it

1. Go through the syllabus

Knowing the syllabus is a crucial part of the study. It helps students to understand the course curriculum. They get to know the topic they have to study in the academic year. Also, students get aware of the latest changes that have been made by the board in the CBSE Syllabus. For students’ easy convenience, the board releases the syllabus every year on the official website at the start of the academic session. So, students can easily access the syllabus pdf for free and can refer to it every time while studying.

2. Follow NCERT textbooks

Students are recommended to follow the NCERT textbooks. These books are designed by a team of experts who have extensive experience in their subject. Moreover, the board also recommends students to study from NCERT books. The question paper is also set by referring to NCERT books. So, if students prepare from these books, they will get an extra advantage and can easily score more marks in the exam.

3. Create self-notes

Students must build a habit of creating self-notes. It will help during their revision. Also, they can get the gist of the topic studied in less time by just having a look at the notes. The self-created notes are very useful for remembering the important points, dates, formulas and chemical equations.

4. Solve the sample papers

Solving the sample paper is a crucial part of exam preparation. It is said that if students have not solved the sample papers, then they have not evaluated their exam preparation. Their preparation is incomplete. So, students must solve the CBSE Sample Paper to check how much they are ready to face the exam. Students are recommended to start solving the sample papers when they have completed the syllabus.

5. Revise, revise, revise

Revision of all the topics is important before the exam. During revision, self-created notes will be very useful for students. It will save their time, and students don’t have to go through the entire topic. Moreover, during revision, students can focus more on those topics in which they are weak.
